About our Business Consulting practice

Who we are, how we started and what drives the way we work with clients.

Our story

Trusted Consult Executives was founded in 2016 by two former operations directors who had spent a combined 28 years inside manufacturing and distribution companies in South Wales. They knew what it felt like to receive a consulting report that looked impressive in a boardroom but fell apart the moment someone tried to implement it.

The firm started with a simple rule: never recommend something you have not done yourself. That rule still holds. Every consultant on our team has held a line-management or director-level position in industry before joining us. They have hired staff, managed budgets, negotiated with suppliers and reported to boards. When they sit in your office, they understand the pressures you face because they have faced the same ones.

We began with three clients in the Cardiff area. Today we work with businesses across Wales, the West of England and occasionally further afield. The team has grown to seven consultants, supported by two analysts and an office manager based at our North Bahringer headquarters.

What we believe

These four principles shape every engagement we take on.

Clarity before action

We spend the first phase of every project making sure we understand the real problem, not just the symptoms the client describes in the first meeting. Rushing to solutions wastes time and money. A thorough diagnostic saves both.

Fixed fees, no surprises

Hourly billing creates an incentive for the consultant to work slowly. We quote a fixed price before work begins. If the project takes longer than we estimated, we absorb the cost. That keeps us efficient and keeps you in control of your budget.

Implementation matters more than the report

A strategy document is worthless if nobody acts on it. Every engagement includes follow-up sessions after delivery, and we write recommendations in language your team can understand without a glossary.

Honest answers, even when uncomfortable

If we think a proposed acquisition is overpriced, we say so. If the problem is the management team rather than the market, we say that too. Clients hire us for our judgement, not for reassurance.
